As president and founder of Mortgage Banking Services Direct, a management consulting firm focusing on the mortgage and financial industries, David Lykken sets strategic direction and vision for the company.
His expertise includes enabling mortgage brokers to become mortgage bankers, arranging mortgage state licensing, facilitating warehouse lines of credit, assisting with the investor relations process and helping lenders be more profitable in the secondary market.
Through Lykken's more than 33 years of experience in mortgage banking arena, he has established relationships and made an impact with many key figures within the industry. Previously, he founded two regional mortgage banking companies in San Diego and was a partner and executive vice president of United Lending Group in Irvine, Calif. Other mortgage technology experience includes original founding partner and software designer for Interlinq Software Corp. and chief sales officer of FIData, Inc., a loan decision software technology company in Austin, Texas.
Lykken lives in Marble Falls, Texas with his wife and two daughters. He enjoys motivational speaking, reading, skiing and boating. He received a bachelor's degree in music from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Wash.
